We love our dogs but sometimes they pee in places with poor or slow drainage and ventilation, this leads to long lasting unpleasant odours. In addition to this you can find scenarios where spring melt leads to high levels of unpleasant melting odours.

This is where Zeolite comes in, and its a one time fix (if not rare top-up?). Adding a light top coat to problem areas is a simple solution to this, as Zeolite has a high affinity for the nitrogen released, it does not allow for the conversion of ammonia gas. Later, this stored nitrogen becomes available to plants on demand. This is also why adding a top dressing to your lawn and plants will reduce burning by pet urine, so long as it is not constantly saturated. 

Zeolite can be used under decks to contain odours as well.
